Burberry has expanded their current scholarship program to include and support underrepresented students. As we start to understand the harsh realities and inequality in society, Burberry has introduced this new initiative as “increasing the scope of Burberry’s creative arts scholarships is part of its holistic commitment to diversity, inclusion and representation at all levels, including the talent pipeline.”

It will extend to students who attend Parsons School of Design in New York, Institute Francais de la Mode in Paris, and Central Saint Martins in London. This particular program was introduced first by the Royal College of Art and has continued its philanthropic branches to other schools. It will include students who study Architectural Design, Interior Design, Fashion Marketing and Communications at Parsons. Fashion Design, Textile Design, Jewelry Design, Fashion Communication, and Graphic Communication at Central Saint Martins. Institute Francais de la Mode students are required to study Fashion Design at an undergrad level.

Burberry has stated that they have helped over 5,500 students to date with this particular program and it is set to help out dozens more who are enrolled in art programmes over the next 5 years.
