Billie Eilish Announces New Album ‘Happier Than Ever’

Pop Star Billie Eilish, has just released details of her new album, Happier Than Ever, due for release later this year.

The artist took to Instagram to make the exciting announcement, after the teaser she gave to fans last week, “MY NEW ALBUM ‘Happier Than Ever’ OUT JULY 30TH!”

The worldwide superstar, built up a sense of anticipation last week, teasing instagram fans with a selfie captioned “Things are comingggg”. Eilish is extremely excited about the new album, revealing to fans,

“this is my favourite thing i’ve ever created and I am so excited and nervous and EAGER for you to hear it.”

Happier Than Ever will be the 19 year old’s second album, following the 2019 release of When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?

Meanwhile, a press release revealed that the album will consist of 16 songs, written by Eilish and her brother Finneas.

The tracklist for Happier Than Ever includes:

  4. My Future
  5. Oxytocin
  6. GOLDWING
  7. Lost Cause
  8. Halley’s Comet

COVID Creativity

Eilish revealed to host of The Late Show, Stephen Colbert, that it was the COVID pandemic that gave her the opportunity to get back into the studio and record the album, stating, “I dont think I would’ve made the same album, or even the album at all, if it weren’t for COVID.”

Furthermore, the superstar continued to clarity why the COVID pandemic helped her complete the album,

“That doesn’t mean that it’s about COVID at all, it’s just that, when things are different in your life, your’e different. That’s how it is. So, I have to thank COVID  for that, and thats about it.”
