Music fans have been stunned yet again this week, with the announcement of another Lana Del Rey album.
Singer songwriter, Lana Del Rey, has released details of her upcoming album Blue Banisters. The artist announced the album in a social media post with the caption, “BLUE BANISTERS Album out July 4“.
The star also released a teaser video that highlights her own personal experience of the album, stating “I’m writing my own story. And no one can tell it but me.”
However, the star has been involved in a series of controversies over the past few years, including within this album announcement. Despite the anticipation for the album, fans have made remarks on social media about the album cover, stating that it appears to look like it was made from a free photo-editing app.
Several news publications have also been critical the album cover,
“The album cover she shared had a pastel effect, with a font that was eerily similar to the ones available on popular photo editing app, PicsArt.”

Chemtrails Over the Country Club
Furthermore, the new album release comes just months are releasing her previous album. Chemtrails Over the Country Club was released on March 19. It consists of 11 songs including singles ‘Let Me Love You Like A Woman’ and “Dance Till We Die“. Del Rey wrote and produced the album with producer Jack Antonoff.
The focal point of the album concentrates on her honest struggles with the inevitability of growing up. It features aspects of classic melodramatic Del Rey. However, it also illustrates to the audience a more vulnerable side to her fantasy-focused lyrics. The album received acclaim from critics.
The artist is yet to announce the tracklist for Blue Banisters.
