Rihanna’s Savage X Fenty lingerie brand has released its first Pride collection to celebrate the start of Pride Month.
It’s a timely release for the brand, which has already received plenty of goodwill from the queer community thanks to the star-power of its creator.
In a statement, Rihanna said,
“Pride is all about appreciating your authentic self.
“I am very excited about this collection and showing love and support to the LGBTQIA+ community, which includes so many of our customers, team members and fans.”
The campaign features a host of stars who are part of the LGBTQIA+ community. Models include couple Ahmad Kanu and Rahquise Bowen, artist Aya Brown, plus-size model Dexter Mayfield, transgender influencer Jaslene Whiterose, RuPaul’s Drag Race alum Gigi Goode, Fenty Skin’s Jazzelle Zanaughtti, and hairstylist Yusef Williams, among others.
The collection boasts 25 new pieces designed for all body types. Some standouts include embroidered bralettes, a bright green smoking jacket and even a rainbow kitty whip. And if you prefer the minimalistic, the label has included some more subdued pieces. These include matching crops, shorts and boxer briefs.
Proceeds from the line support several LGBTQ+ organisations including GLAAD, the Audre Lorde Project, The Caribbean Equality Project, INC., Trans Latin@ Coalition and the Trans Wellness Center. Prices start at $16.95 and range to $69.95 US.
Savage X Fenty will also be hosting a virtual Pride party at the end of the month! So keep your eyes peeled for details.
