This week’s highlights include a Clarks x Supreme collaboration, Raf Simon’s stand-out jewellery piece of FW21, a BLACKPINK solo announcement and more.

Louis Vuitton x Virgil Abloh

Louis Vuitton has just dropped Virgil Abloh’s menswear capsule collection for Fall/Winter 2021. Amongst numerous gems (including 3D-printed leather jackets and new takes on the LV Trainers) is a tie-dye face mask with the classic LV monogram dripping in psychedelic design.

The Tie & Dye mask cover and bandana set echoes the bright kaleidoscopic color seen in the Leather Goods Collection. The mask has a cotton/silk fabrication and comes with a matching bag and bandana – a fashion item that Bella Hadid and Dua Lipa both endorse.

The mask can be purchased on Louis Vuitton’s official site here.

Clarks x Supreme, Woven Wallabies

Supreme is back this Fall with a footwear collaboration with Clarks Originals’ Wallabees.

The Clarks Originals Wallabee is a streetwear classic, traversing decades as a monument to the brand’s enduring cultural significance. Supreme, always on the pulse (only a few months since collaborating with the New York Yankees) is one of the most relevant streetwear brands of all time. When these cultures collide, it’s difficult to ignore.

The brands have spent years collaborating on an arsenal of crossovers, with the Wallabee central to these collaborations. Throughout their partnership, we’ve seen the basic moccasin shape dressed in paisley and camouflage patterns, highly saturated colours, and old-school two-toned colourings. Despite the dramatic contrast between these collaborative finishes and Clarks Originals mainstays, they remain popular.

Fall Colourways

The Fall/Winter 2021 style is available in four colourways: black, beige, salmon pink, and green. A leather inner complements the design, as does the Wallabee’s distinctive crepe sole.

The Clarks Originals x Supreme Wallabee is available at Supreme stores on September 9, with Japan receiving a later release of September 11.

Amazon x Onitsuka Tiger

Onitsuka Tiger and Amazon Prime’s “Cinderella” are making dreams come true. A new shoe inspired by the legendary glass slipper drops this month, commemorating Camila Cabello’s new film, which aired Sunday.

The official website states that,

“Onitsuka Tiger will release a limited-edition sneaker born from a collaboration with the Amazon Prime Video Movie, Cinderella… In sync with the next generation image of women and the message of diversity promoted in the film, Onitsuka Tiger created this sneaker based on a novel interpretation of the glass slipper that allows anyone to be the protagonist in any situation, without being limited to the stereotype.”

Using the P-Trainer PRZM silhouette, the sneaker celebrates the musical’s message of diversity and women’s empowerment. The design features a simple, yet modern upper and a voluminous sole with Onitsuka Tiger’s signature stripes. Drawing inspiration from the glass slipper, the silhouette is reflective, featuring polychromatic iridescent colours. The stunning holographic details are sure to steal the show.

The special-edition shoe is limited to 800 pairs and includes a custom shoebox. They’re available in Onitsuka Tiger shops, online, and on Amazon Japan. They retail at $200 USD.

Raf Simons, Skeleton Bracelet

Raf Simons’ co-ed Fall/Winter 2021 presentation ventured into the genderless realms. The Belgian designer has just dropped the “Purple Skeleton Bracelet” from the collection, one of the season’s most stand-out jewellery pieces.

The pastel bracelet is crafted from polished brass to give it a magenta tone. It fastens with a hinge-pin fastening which snaps around the wrist to shut, with a Raf Simons logo on the inside.

Raf Simons’ skeleton bracelet in purple can be purchased from stockists including Machine-A for $1,050 USD.

LALISA

BLACKPINK‘s Lisa has unveiled the entire tracklist for her solo debut, which will be released in less than one week.

The “LALISA” news initially broke in April, courtesy of Harpers Bazaar Thailand, who posted a snapshot of the Thai-born megastar on Instagram. At the time, there had been no confirmation from her agency, YG Entertainment, on whether the rumours were genuine or when we could expect an album. They did release a cryptic statement to The Korea Herald, however, sharing that “Lisa is still working hard on the album” – leaving many K-Pop and BLACKPINK fans at a loss.

LALISA, the forthcoming single album, features two tracks. The album, dubbed LALISA (the K-pop star’s full first name), is BLACKPINK’s third solo endeavour. The Thai rapper is following in the footsteps of her colleagues Jennie and Rosé, who released have both put out singles “SOLO” and “R” respectively.

The album opens with the new track “LALISA,” written by TEDDY and Bekuh BOOM. The American songwriter then cowrites with THEBLACKLABEL‘s Vince for the second track, “MONEY.”

A True Icon

As an artist, Lisa has proven herself to be a true icon. She is the ultimate muse for luxury fashion company, Celine. A cosmetics and beauty maven in the eyes of M.A.C Cosmetics. She is also at the pinnacle of her career, the perfect time to establish herself as not only an invaluable member of K-Pop sensation BLACKPINK – but also as a gifted solo artist.

The album is now available for pre-order on CD, “KiT,” and vinyl. The CD includes an 88-page picture book, Polaroids, postcards, double-sided posters, and other goodies. To find out more, visit the official website.

“LALISA” drops on September 10 at 1 p.m. KST (12 a.m. EST) and is available for Pre-Save on Spotify now.

Drake x Nike, Certified Lover Boy
