Moncler is set to unveil its upcoming collections this year via MONDOGENIUS. This one-of-a-kind digital event is taking place on September 25, 2021. GRAMMY-award winning artist Alicia Keys is hosting the event, viewable on the MONDOGENIUS website.

This year, the Italian luxury label will tour us through five different cities, including New York, Tokyo, Shanghai, Seoul, and Milan; unveiling concepts and products engineered by its Moncler Genius designers.

The concepts span across a variety of spaces such as art, film, music, and extreme sports, through this event.

Moncler Chairman and CEO Remo Ruffini tells HYPEBEAST,

“In these ever-evolving times, I truly believe in the power of connecting communities around the world through experiences.”

He continues,

“MONDOGENIUS has been designed to be a real immersion into Moncler’s energy and cultural evolution without leaving anyone out.”

Balenciaga x Fortnite

The Balenciaga “Fit Set” for Fortnite enhances the outfits of the game’s most popular characters (Ramirez, Knight, Doggo, and Banshee).

Demna Gvasalia, artistic director at Balenciaga, says in a statement,

“Our partnership with Epic[games] didn’t start with Fortnite, actually… It started with our own first video game, Afterworld, which we built using Unreal Engine to debut our Fall 2021 collection.”

She continues,

From there, we have continued to be inspired by the creativity of Unreal and Fortnite communities.

It made total sense, to me, that we collaborate further by creating these authentic Balenciaga looks for Fortnite and a new physical Fortnite clothing series for our stores.”

Taking the collaboration a step further, Fortnite and Balenciaga have put out a limited-edition physical line.

It includes caps, T-shirts, hoodies, and jackets which can be found on store shelves from September 20 or September 21, depending on your location.

Check out the physical line on the Balenciaga website here.

Lil Nas X,Jean Paul Gaultier, ‘Montero’ Mesh Top

After blowing up the internet all weekend with his latest LP, “Montero”, Lil Nas X drops a limited edition top.

While a partnership between a 22-year-old American rapper and a 69-year-old French designer might surprise some, the pair’s cooperation is actually quite fitting.

Lil Nas X’s meteoric ascent focuses on his unapologetic status as a queer Black man in a genre not known for respecting LGBTQ identities.

Similarly, Jean Paul Gaultier’s long career in high fashion has been fueled by his identity as one of the first openly gay designers to attain huge success.

The limited-run top has a multicolour tulle fabrication and features long sleeves. The cut is crewneck with raw edges and has a roomy fit.

Lil Nas X and Jean Paul Gaultier’s names are printed in gold throughout the piece. JPG’s design print mashes up an archival print from the designer’s SSO1 collection, “Louise Brooks at Easy Rider”.

According to a press release, the collaboration focused on incorporating the “gothic-glamour reference-heavy aesthetic” favoured by Lil Nas X into “JPG’s cult-classic second-skin mesh top.”

The limited top is a run of only 666 pieces. The piece will set you back 333€ (approx. $537.85 in Aus).

Don’t delay or you might miss out – as was the case with the rapper’s controversial “Satan Shoes“, the design is set to sell out quickly.

Nodaleto x Marc Jacobs

Following a recent collaboration with Dr. Martens, Marc Jacobs now teams up with Nodaleto for a second footwear collaboration.

This new release comes under its “Heaven” brand, led by Ava Nirui. Inspired by a “hyper-realistic teenage dream,” both brands encompass a nostalgic, ’90s aesthetic.

Hugo Comte presents a high school-inspired commercial for the collection, including nods to Sofia Coppola’s “The Virgin Suicides” and Gus Van Sant’s “Elephant”.

Nodaleto says in an Instagram post,

@themarcjacobs has always been an inspiration to us, our first approach to luxury design. We intended to provide the same feeling with this collaboration and open our fan-base to a new generation.

New nodalegirls, you are welcome!”

The collection includes knee-high boots in black, yellow and tartan iterations. A Mary Jane sandal with a chunky heel comes in black, purple and tartan options.

The collaborative range is accompanied by knee-length socks in black, pastel blue and pink.

BROCKHAMPTON Merch Drop

BROCKHAMPTON joins forces with Holiday for a capsule Merch drop. This is the first official Merch collaboration for BROCKHAMPTON.

Nick Holiday is Holiday’s head designer and personal stylist to BROCKHAMPTON. He acts as a key voice in the group’s creative team and has accompanied their rise to fame. He tells Complex back in 2019,

“I am not in charge of their individual style, and sometimes I get afraid of that word ‘stylist’ because these dudes are so creative and so good at their job… They are fucking awesome. They show me new stuff every day, too.”

Hoodies, sweatpants, shorts, t-shirts, caps, a high-pile bespoke logo rug, and other items are included in the merchandise collection.

BROCKHAMPTON announced earlier this month that the release of its final album is postponed until next year, citing a search for new members.
