One hundred and twenty-nine exquisite presentations. Exciting new entries. Fashion week legendaries. Milan Fashion Show 2022 has begun and it’s worth tuning in to.
Milan Fashion Week is officially on. It’s on for five days from today, closing on the 28th of this month. This week we see the debut of the 2022-2033 Fall/Winter collections and include one hundred and twenty nine exquisite presentations. Fourty nine of these are physical presentations.
After sixty four years running, the highly exclusive Milan Fashion Week remains one of the most anticipated events on the fashion calendar. The event, partly organised by non-profit organisation Camera Nazionale Della Moda Italiana (National Chamber of Italian Fashion) and partners, is truly whimsical. For just a week, the Italian city lights up in celebration of fashion and culture.
“Everyone wants to come to Milan! The demand for fashion shows is more than double that of the current calendar. With its 800 showrooms, the city is like an open-air fair. Even the big fashion houses that showcase elsewhere have their showrooms here. People come here to do business,”
– Carlo Capasa, president of the National Chamber of Italian Fashion, told Fashion United
The Opener
Ennio Capasa could not stay away from fashion for too long. He debuts today with a new project, “Capasa Milano”.
The “Before it starts” Fall/Winter 22-23 collection by Creative Director Capasa, is set in the suggestive location of Teatro Arcimboldi’s backstage. The show features a live performance by Star Control.
This year, an increasing number of brands are choosing to have their shows in attendance, positioning their runways in the most breath-taking parts of the fashion capital city. This event will highlight inclusion, uniqueness, sustainability as core themes and include many big names and plenty of exciting new entries.
