Paris Fashion Week: Fall/Winter 2022 wrapped up on March 8th, 2022. “PARIS FASHION WEEK A/W 2022 – FIB’s VERDICT” recaps the week of events, featuring some of the standout collections showcased during the iconic week of fashion.
Fourty-five of the ninety-five houses on the Paris Fashion Week A/W22 schedule had live shows. Thirty-seven of the events were physical, with thirteen purely digital. Physical shows included Louis Vuitton, Isabel Marant, Dior, Saint Laurent, Loewe, Chanel, Off-White, Stella McCartney, Miu Miu and Chloe. There were also shows by Vivienne Westwood and The Row.
This season, Valentino comes out with a hot pink ready-to-wear line. The runway set is pink from top to bottom, including the runway. Both the war in Ukraine and climate change crisis heavily influenced the Balenciaga runway. Dior is both practical and cutting-edge, basing its designs on themes of beauty and protection. Their work with D-Labs this season results in modern, high-tech clothing that can regulate its own temperature.
