Kate Moss’ half-sister, Lottie Moss, gives us some insight into her patchy past this week in an interview which is sure to shock her fans. Lottie, 24, alleges that during her earlier career, she was manipulated into working against her will. Regularly, she was directed to work under the influence of drugs by those that she trusted; her bosses at modelling agencies. Lottie was coerced with booze and drugs and pressured into taking jobs.

“A lot of the time I would be showing up to set and I didn’t want to do it, I’d be crying my eyes out and they said, ‘we’ll just get you some drugs, you can have a drink and then you’ll be fine’.

Lottie says.

“It was very much like that, ‘oh you’ll do this shoot, whether you’re sober or not. It’s going to happen’.

Referring to her drug and alcohol consumption, she tells The Sun, “I don’t think there were a lot of people in that industry that cared about my wellbeing I have to be real.” She goes on to say that,

“It’s not a normal thing to do drugs. It shouldn’t be as normalised as it is in the celebrity or fashion industry.”

Everything seemed to be going smoothly nearer to the start of her career. By the time she was 19, she had walked the runways and campaign posters for Chanel and Topshop. She also graced the cover of Vogue and travelled the globe. From there, she started making rounds in the London party circuit. Despite her public persona, Lottie acknowledges that she found it difficult to live in the shadow of her older sibling.

Last month, a top UK modelling agency fired Lottie 24, half-sister of supermodel Kate, 48. Lottie says: “I decided to part ways with them [the agency] because I didn’t think it served me a purpose.

When Lottie went to treatment earlier this year, she too stated she felt pressured to be like Kate. She reveals on podcast ‘Call Her Daddy’: “They wanted me to be Kate Moss part two. I was told I had to lose weight… I was 18 and at New York fashion week. I had to get down to a 23in waist and I worked out until I got down to that size.”

Lottie then goes on to explain that she ate one piece of toast a day. She lost the necessary weight only to be told that she was not tall enough. “I’m 5ft 5in. My sister is 5ft 7in — she is just on the cusp of being tall enough… No wonder I had problems, I was pushed into doing these things and getting to a certain weight… I’m surprised I never got an eating disorder.”

“I Love You, You’re Great”

During Lottie’s stint in rehab, she explains that Kate (who is known to have used drugs herself while modelling), was supportive of her.

Lottie says: “Me and my sister have never been that close, so we never really spoke about it until I was in rehab. She was great, she said, ‘I love you, you’re great’.”

Lottie, who is now sober, has signed up to adult subscription website OnlyFans. For her, this is a step in the right direction, hoping to improve the public image of women in the sex industry.

She says: “I wanted to empower myself — I love taking nude pictures. I love being proud of my body. Women in the adult industry need to be appreciated.”
