Praise For The Land Downunder
The film comes in record time as production came to a standstill for six months due to the Covid-19 pandemic, as Tom Hanks and his wife sadly tested positive. However, this turned out to be a small benefit for fellow Australian actors. According to 7News, by the time production of the film resumed, a dozen or so key roles had been cast with Australian representation.
As the movie was produced in Queensland, the idea of building more filming studios in the state could increase the country’s future in the industry.
Mixed Reviews
Butler, 30, deserves congratulating for scoring this major role. His multitalented personality shines through his performance, fine tuning his performance.
7News quotes,
“During some of the numbers we would all come and just watch, thinking he’s just phenomenal”.
However, as much praise as Butler is receiving, he could not speak more highly of working with Hanks, 65. Who Butler quotes is, “His hero”.
Furthermore, as confident as Butler seems in the role his experience was nerve-wrecking. Butler speaks of his heart pounding as each new day of filming commenced. However, he took inspiration from the King of Rock himself. Learning that Elvis had insecurities of his own and achieved greatness, further inspired the actor in his role.
Dazzling on the Red Carpet
The star of the film Butler, continued his rocker flare as he showcased a relaxed, yet chique, flared brown Gucci suit. His effortless style could not be missed by fans as his famous looks and charm took over the premier night.
Co-star and Australian actress DeJonge looked exquisite in a blush Prada evening dress. As well as, subtle makeup to compliment the pink theme of her outfit, a sexy updo was on display. Creating a elegant, yet sophisticated show-stopper look.
Hanks, who plays Butler’s manager in the film, kept his outfit comfortable and simple. Considering he suffered a positive Covid-19 stint during filming, who can blame the actor for thinking of his comfort. Regardless, Hanks pulls off the look effortlessly. Dressed in classic black, Hanks showcased a suede chore coat and tie.
Finally, we cannot forget the brains behind the film. Baz Luhrmann dazzled the Sydney onlookers in an outrageous ensemble inspired by The King himself. He was head-to-toe in Prada, Paspaley and Celine, as well as, complementary jewellery.
