VENICE GIVES MILAN A RUN FOR ITS MONEY: IS MILAN THE CAPITAL OF FILM FESTIVAL FASHION?

The recent Film Festival held in Venice has left us questioning whether Milan is truly Italy’s fashion capital.

From Timothee Chalamet to Emma Chamberlain, from Gucci to Armani, this year’s Venice Film Festival had a lot on display.

“From the moments the celebrity style set touched down at the Marco Polo airport, we were greeted with new season collections, avant-garde ensembles and headline-making moments from our favourite A-listers.” – ELLE Magazine.

New Faces

As the 79th iteration of this iconic cultural event, there are a lot of new faces that are taking the spotlight, kicking off the chain of best-dressed celebrities was one of our most loved actors, Timothée Chalamet.

The fairly new emerging star, who is known for his unexpected and feminine silhouettes, shook the internet with his bare-back design.

In town to promote his upcoming cannibal-romance film, Bones And All, Timothée definitely had all of our attention at the event. Opting for a blood-red pantsuit with a matching halter neck top and tie from Yu French Designer, Haider Ackermann. Something worthy of a standing ovation.

Missed the Memo

The memo we missed – sartorially referencing the red carpet with your costume. But don’t worry. Fashion it-girl, Emma Chamberlain definitely caught on to this unspoken dress code. She wears vintage Valentino at this year’s festival.

Our favourite “Euphoria” sisters Lexi and Cassie Howard are some of our favourite fashion picks… “leaving suburban California for a trip to Venice to prove that ‘Euphoria High’ isn’t the only place worthy of a proverbial fashion show,” as per ELLE Magazine.

Fashion at the festival peaked when “Euphoria” stars Maude Apatow and Sydney Sweeney stepped onto the red carpet; in matching Giorgio Armani Privè gowns.

And of course, we can’t forget the much anticipated Harry Styles. Dripping head to toe in his most recent ‘Ha Ha Ha’ collaboration with the luxury Italian fashion house, Gucci, Harry made a major statement on the carpet.

“But that wasn’t all, Miss Florence Pugh stunned us all when arriving to her one and only appearance at the event in a Maison Valentino number, covered in constellations.” – ELLE Magazine
