This year’s Glastonbury carried on its tradition of having some of the world’s most spectacular artists and celebrities out in the field. The annual festival brings in people from all over the globe, with crowds teaming with multicoloured flags.

The big artists played on the iconic pyramid stage, with other stages around for audiences to enjoy smaller, local musicians. One massive part of festivals is the fashion. FIB takes a look at the best outfits from the event and also highlights some of the outstanding performances.

Poppy Delevingne

Cara’s sister and model, Poppy Delevingne rocks a crochet dress by Nobody’s Child, with flared sleeves and pops of turquoise and lime. She pairs this with a black fringe bag and matching Hunter wellies. Classic festival chic.

Lil Nas X

Rap sensation Lil Nas X, is known for his powerful sense of fashion. While performing, the rapper adorns a huge white fur coat, cascading down his figure. This is paired with a gilded breastplate, white pants, and a belt with gold finishing. And that was just one of his outfits!

Cate Blanchett

Cate Blanchett decided to be an absolute icon at this year’s Glastonbury by going up on stage with artist ‘Sparks’. She dances in a chaotic and abstract manner alongside the singer in a very bold yellow pantsuit. Blanchett owns both the dance floor and the fashion department.

Kate Hudson

Now this isn’t an outfit, but a pop culture appreciation moment. Kate Hudson throws it back a whole two decades with her legendary spiral curls from hit film ‘Almost Famous’. Her breakout role as Penny Lane, a troubled, yet tremendously beautiful groupie from the 1970s, was known for her luscious golden curls.

One of the most memorable scenes on ‘Almost Famous’ was when everyone on the tour bus sings ‘Tiny Dancer’ by Elton John. Would you believe, Kate Hudson is spotted singing along to that exact song whilst the real Elton plays at Glastonbury. Pretty cool.

Elton John

Expectedly, legend himself Elton John did not disappoint. He played world-class hit songs like “Candle in the Wind”, “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road”, “Rocket Man”, and many more.

Elton also announced that this performance may be his last ever UK gig. Fittingly, the headline show was a celebration of all the different eras of his career.

Blondie

Blondie gave a bombshell performance on the Pyramid stage, playing her classic anthems “Atomic”, “The Tide is High” and “Heart of Glass”. At the ripe age of 77, the rock singer danced around like there was no tomorrow. Bravo to Blondie.

Foo Fighters

The Foo Fighters in their usual cheeky fashion attempted to surprise the audience by playing under the guise of ‘The Churnups’. Once the band stepped onto the stage, the crowd began to realise this was not some random artist. This was the Foo Fighters.

Dave Grohl grabbed the mic and said:

“You guys knew it was us this whole time, you knew it. We’re not good at secrets.”

They proceeded to smash through some of their greatest songs, ranging from their late-90s hard-hitting stuff to their newer ballads. Grohl even performed a duet of “Show Me How” with his daughter Violet.

Lizzo

Queen Lizzo struts on with her killer outfit of leather and laces to give an electrifying show. As co-headliner, the fiery singer gave her all with a setlist including “Juice” and “About Damn Time”. What a showstopper!
