The collection pushes the boundaries of eyewear design with creative director Stephanie D’heygere telling Rain Magazine that the products open a new chapter in eyewear.

“The delicately designed products open a new chapter in eyewear by combining frames and jewellery as a structural element rather than merely attaching the jewellery to the frame.

“This innovative approach takes the concept of jewellery eyewear to the next level, pushing the boundaries of design and craftsmanship,” she says.

A Focus on Found Objects

The campaign was shot by photographer Yis Kid, and features models floating midair to present a surreal merging of the two brand’s distinct identities. As a result, the images capture the brand’s perspectives on “found objects”. This helps to reinterpret timeless beauty with elegance. And the result is a new category of eyewear fashion.

The collection includes three designs, each crafted with their own individual flare and charm.

The first design, “Rings-01” is a bold and angular with a square-like silhouette. The piece enhances the wearer with three rings at the temple. The rings stand out against the dark look with multicoloured gems connecting the sunglasses’ arms to the lens.

“Pierced-02” is the second piece is a delicate oval shaped lens. The metal frame features detachable silver earrings with 12 holes lining the glasses arms. This unique design choice allows the wearer no limits to customisation. It is a perfect celebration of eyewear as jewellery.

“Tiara-02” evokes the design of a tiara with an oversized lens taking on the shape similar to construction safety glasses. The design takes its name from the tiara-like gems places around the frame as well as earrings pierced through the sides of the arms of the glasses.

The collaboration transforms eyewear into wearable pieces of art. And another nice touch is the packaging; the pieces come in a functional jewellery box. The prices of the pieces range from $380-$500 USD and dropped globally on July 6th both in store and on Gentle Monster and D’heygere’s websites.
