Just like Andrew Tate, Joe Rogan, Russell Brand doesn’t want you to trust the mainstream media. The same mainstream media who he says “is out to get him”.
Which is convenient, because the mainstream media just published a lengthy investigation into his actions from 2006 through 2013, involving one rape allegation and three sexual assault allegations from four women.
Is the mainstream media exacting its punishment for his criticisms of them ? Is he being canceled for becoming too influential? Or is he indeed guilty of sex crimes ?
It’s hard to know, but one thing for sure is that it’s hard to trust mainstream media today, and it looks very suspicious to the writer.
“To see that transparency metastasised into something criminal, that I absolutely deny, makes me question is there another agenda at play.”
It’s clear that Brand has established himself a very convenient defence: ‘they’re out to get him’.
Brand’s Transformations
Russell Brand, at the age of 48, has undergone various transformations throughout his life. Initially gaining fame as a presenter on MTV and later transitioning to the film industry with notable works such as “Forgetting Sarah Marshall” (2008) and “Get Him to The Greek” (2010), Brand has also made a name for himself as an author and a speaker advocating for drug policy reform, mental health awareness, and spiritual well-being.
Recently, Brand has embarked on a new path, embracing ‘freedom thinking’ through platforms like YouTube. Engaging in discussions about ‘the truth,’ he has cultivated a community centered around skepticism toward the world as we conventionally perceive it, particularly the media.
A List of Allegations
Interestingly, this perspective seems to align conveniently with Brand’s sentiments towards the mainstream media. Coinciding with his stance, the mainstream media has recently published an extensive investigation into Brand’s actions spanning from 2006 to 2013. The investigation delves into one rape allegation and three sexual assault allegations made by four women.
Over the weekend, several American and British news outlets published accusations of rape, sexual assault, and abuse made against Russell Brand by four different women. The investigation, initiated in 2019, was revealed by Becky Barrow, the news editor of The Sunday Times.
Brand vehemently denied these allegations and took to the internet to express his rebuttal. In an online video, he refuted the undisclosed allegations made by a television company and a newspaper, both of which he referred to as part of the “mainstream media.”
“Amidst this litany of astonishing, rather baroque attacks are some very serious allegations that I absolutely refute,” he said.
“These allegations pertain to the time when I was working in the mainstream, when I was in the newspapers all the time, when I was in the movies and, as I have written about extensively in my books, I was very, very promiscuous.
“Now, during that time of promiscuity the relationships I had were absolutely, always consensual. I was always transparent about that then, almost too transparent, and I am being transparent about it now as well.
Lack of Transparency, or Hidden Agenda?
Furthermore, Brand emphasised his commitment to transparency during that period, perhaps even to an excess, and assured that consent was always a fundamental aspect of his interactions.
Brand maintains that all the relationships he had during his promiscuous period were unequivocally consensual. He asserts that he was excessively transparent about his actions during that time and continues to be transparent now.
The transformation of this transparency into criminal accusations, which he vehemently denies, raises suspicions in Brand’s mind. He questions whether there may be an ulterior motive or hidden agenda behind these allegations, suggesting that there are individuals or entities actively seeking to target him.
It is evident that Brand has adopted a defence strategy centred around the notion that he is being unfairly targeted or pursued by the mainstream media and those in power who he has often called out.
