DAY 17 “MY VENETIAN ‘ORGANISED CRIME’ DRAMA” ’80DAYS’ Series with Paul G Roberts

I want to share with you something which is a my own personal high drama that experienced in Venice the last time I was there.

I was traveling at the end of the year, it was December January with my partner Nikki and I planned a really romantic wonderful trip and the itinerary was we first started in Prague and it was January it was free no actually it was yeah late December early January for the trip.

The itinerary was a classic one, it was an epic trip and it feels like it was yesterday. We flew into the Czech Republic to Prague, and it was freezing, there was snow everywhere we had to carry winter coats and the whole thing and it was just before Christmas, I think it was.

Then after Prague where I got a terrible terrible cold, my head was all stuffy, my eyes were watery. I had a congested chest my nose was running. I could hardly hear out of my ears. So I wasn’t at my my dazzling best, and as well as that My Darling Nikki partner she was a fashionista. She packed for everything so when we were traveling from one place to the next there was me not only carrying my own bags but I was carrying her bags as well so you can imagine that.’

So straight out of nowhere something really weird happens, and I get smacked in the back like somebody fully runs at me, and bumps me like almost knocking me over, so immediately I thought oh no here we go action time so I swing around really to see whoever was attacking me because it was a really solid bump, it wasn’t somebody just you know stumbling into me, it was he was full whoever hit me hit me really hard intentionally so I swing around I’ve got one bag around my neck which has got my wallet and passport and all of those valuables in it, and all the other bags are on the ground but when I turn around there’s no one there which is so bizarre because I was just King hit by somebody you know shirt fronted like in a football game or something.

And then they vanished so I turned them in really quickly and I was scanning the vaporetto I couldn’t see anyone um I don’t even think people were looking at me so that it wasn’t a very obvious kind of thing

To which he looks up and he’s then all of a sudden his henchman are popping out of nowhere crowding around and I said to him remember how you asked me what I was going to do and then I just went whack smacked him as hard as I could like a Will Smith Chris Rock smack across the face as hard as I could nearly made his head spin around than all of his friends all 10 12 of them popped up running towards towards me to you know attack me and he’s holding his head freaking out then I just stepped aside and I said meet my friends and the two Italian carabinieri detectives popped in and um took them all into custody took them so I had to run back to the train station grab Nikki and say Nikki we’re not going to catch this train we’ll be catching the next one so we had to go to the carabinieri station make a statement identify the guys you know for all the reports and everything and then get back in the train later I found out the carabinieri guys found out that they actually raided their penzione and there was 14 of them apparently staying in this one little penzione and they were all from Argentina and in the penzione they found currency all these different currency different exchange dockets wallets passports so these guys had actually been having a feast in Venice on all the the tourists and travellers of which I was one.

They say who laughs last, laughs best and I definitely got the last laugh.
