DAY 46 “JOURNEY FROM LUANG PRABANG TO HANOI” ’80DAYS’ Series with Paul G Roberts

Today, we embark on a journey as timeless as the landscapes we are set to traverse. Our voyage will take us from the heart of Laos, Luang Prabang, the ancient royal capital, to the bustling metropolis of Hanoi in Vietnam. A journey by rail that promises a tapestry of culture, history, and breathtaking scenery.”

“Though the skies offer quicker passage and the roads a more rugged route, the railway remains a testament to the romance of travel. Our path will follow the tracks, but let’s not overlook the alternatives: a swift two-hour flight, or a meandering bus ride that can take upwards of 24 hours, winding through mountains and valleys.”

“Our rail carriage is modest but comfortable, a window to the world outside.

The clatter of wheels on tracks becomes the rhythm of our journey, a slow but steady pulse as we leave Luang Prabang. As we snake along the Nam Khan River, the vistas unfold like pages of an epic narrative. Traditional Hmong and Khmu villages dot the countryside, while children wave at the passing train, their laughter carried by the wind.

Oudomxay Province greets us with its highland contours, a region where nature’s artistry is on full display. Here, the train seems to climb the very backbone of Indochina, offering glimpses of remote life, where people and nature exist in harmonious seclusion.

This solo one man odyssey, was crafted in the shadow of Jules Verne’s immortal prose ‘Around the World in 80 Days’, but more than a nod to literary genius—it is an homage to the insatiable human thirst for discovery.

A thirst some poetically inclined termed ‘Wanderlust’.

In my grand narrative of no less than 80 episodes, the world unfolds as a tapestry of cultures and wonders, we are reminded that the true wealth of life is not in the jingle of coins or the accolades of society. It is in the bonds we forge, the love that we kindle amidst the whirlwind of our pursuits.

Thanks for watching! See you in the next adventure! ✈️????

To those who would call my quest a folly, I say: life’s tapestry is woven with threads of experiences, not the gold of coins. For travel is the grand tutor of life’s lessons, unfurling the scrolls of the world before our eager eyes. And as I often say, a solitary day ablaze with adventure can outshine years of monochrome routine.

This, my friends, is the essence of my ‘80DAYS’—not merely a series of films, but a celebration of life in its most vivid form.

I will be releasing 2 new film episodes each week. There is so much more to follow. Subscribe to “YouTube FashionIndustryBroadcast” so you will not miss being notified of each drop. And if you feel it LIKE and COMMENT too.

Humbly yours in Wanderlust,

Paul G Roberts
