DAY 52 “JOURNEY HONG KONG TO SHANGHAI” ’80DAYS’ Round the World Travel Series with Paul G Roberts

It’s now DAY 52 and it’s time to leave Hong Kong and bullet train it to Shanghai. Separated by 762 miles (1,226 kilometers), the journey from Hong Kong to Shanghai offers travelers a tapestry of experiences, each weaving its own narrative.

From the heart of Hong Kong, travelers embark on a voyage that transcends mere distance, encompassing a myriad of sights and sounds along the way. Separated by 762 miles (1,226 kilometers), Hong Kong and Shanghai are two of the most tourist-centric cities in Asia, offering visitors dynamically different experiences.

Although flying is the quickest way of traveling from Hong Kong to Shanghai, you can also drive, but it would take you about 15 hours to cover the distance, so many travelers opt for the high-speed train. Which is what I am doing.
