While Christian Louboutin is known worldwide for his red soles, the famed shoe designer is breaking into a new industry with the help of burlesque star Dita Von Teese.
The glamour couple is launching a new lingerie collection, called XXXtian, which, as you can tell from the label, is super raunchy and risqué. The capsule collection is made up of 7 different pieces that includes a bra, bodice, suspenders and negligee kimono.
And of course, it would not be a Christian Louboutin masterpiece without elements of his trademark vibrant, flirtatious red. All pieces feature black lace, red Swarovski crystals, small red bows and a print designed by Louboutin that shows burlesque dancers, French maids and his coveted red-soled shoes.
The modern burlesque pin-up girl has long become known for her sophisticated and elegant style, and already has developed her own collections for lingerie, fashion, fragrances and cosmetics.
The pair have maintained a lasting friendship, with Louboutin’s signature shoes often seen worn by Von Teese at her shows. The French designer has even made the glamour queen several pairs of custom ballet slippers, all sporting that stunning red sole.
Online European lingerie retailer Glamuse.com carries the exclusive collection, with the XXXtian prices ranging from about $108 to $930. The company also sells other signature collections from Dita Von Teese, such as Madame X, Marlene and Screen Queen.
