Comedians M.K. Paulsen and Ella Gale parodied baby photo shoots in their cheeky new photo series, Burrito Makes Three.
Couple-and-baby photo shoots are a bit like extravagant wedding portraits – we all coo along at the pictures, but inwardly we’re usually rolling our eyes at the abundance of sappy clichés. M.K. Paulsen and Ella Gale parodied this trend in the new photo series on the aptly-named website, Burrito Makes Three. In the series, a burrito takes the place of a baby while the pair gaze at it adoringly. Hey, who can blame them? It’s a burrito.
“After a difficult delivery, Ella and I are absolutely THRILLED to share these pictures of our perfectly loved new little burrito.”
Complete with a studio set-up and lighting, soft colour tones and genuinely convincing poses, the resulting photographs were hilarious.
They teamed up with photographer Erin Holsonback of the blog An Indoor Lady for the shoot.

Holsonback is a portrait and family photographer hailing from South Austin, Texas. She describes photographer as, “a way to experience more of life – things that are so easy to take for granted.”
Paulsen and Gale are both award-winning comedians in the Austin district, where Gale co-hosts Naughty Bits, a show where she gives fellow comedians sex advice.
