If you are still getting over his awesome set at Splendour in the Grass 2016, Aussie EDM artist Just A Gent has released fun tune ‘Rolling Dice’ from his upcoming EP Stories To Tell due out on Friday. Â
Featuring the vocals of Ella Vos & Joey Chavez, ‘Rolling Dice’ is certain to be a hit on the Aussie dance floors with its vibrant electronic beat. The vocals blend seamlessly into Gent’s brooding piano and upbeat electronic synths to build up to an explosive drop.
The talented 19 year old Maitland artist and producer, Jacob Grant compliments the singing duet.
“It almost sounds like an Angus & Julia Stone type of vibe. It’s pretty amazing. They killed it on the vocal.”
‘Rolling Dice’Â is the third single to drop from his forthcoming EP after the release of hits such as ‘Heavy As A Heartbreak feat. LANKS‘ and ‘Loaded feat. Melissa Ramsay‘.Â
Grant is certainly excited about releasing his work.
“I’ve wanted to release something this big for a really long time and now’s finally happening. I make so much music – I have hundreds of songs sitting on my laptop – so it’s really satisfying to be sharing it with people”
After winning a triple J Unearthed competition, Grant scored appearances at national festivals such as Listen Out, kicking off a successful 2015 single with Limelight and doing remixes of songs from popular EDM artists such as Aussies Alison Wonderland & Peking Duk. This year, he signed with US label Lokal Legend and played for an enthusiastic crowd at Byron Bay’s Splendour in the Grass.Â
Hopefully, with the release of Stories To Tell on August 26th, we can expect a continuation of his great success as he becomes a leading example of the great talent coming out of the Australian EDM scene.
