Directed by Andrew Dominik (Chopper, Killing Them Softly), One More Time With Feeling is a 3D black-and-white documentary that acts as not only acts as an exclusive first look at the upcoming album Skeleton Treebut as a haunting film about Nick Cave’s grief over the death of his 15-year old son Arthur last year. Cave has collaborated with Dominik before on the score for his film The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford.

Since its release at the Venice Film Festival, the moving documentary has received critical acclaim with the Guardian describing it asa tremendously moving collage‘. In an interview with Indiewire, Dominik details with the film, Cave is talking about the grief of the traumatic event and “how you deal with it, how to cope with it……How does he feel, what’s it like to lose a child and what does it feel like, what does that mean in terms of your life?”

In 2014, Nick Cave was the centre-piece of a dramatised documentary titled 20,000 Days on Earthwhich opened the 2014 Sydney Film Festival and received high acclaim as well. What was a fascinating look into the mind of Nick Cave, we can expect an even more emotionally-hitting and intimate look into the life of the Australian alternative rock icon.

Last week, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds released the haunting music video and clip from the documentary for one of Skeleton Tree‘s tracks ‘Jesus Alone‘.

If the reviews are to be believed, audiences tonight are in for an emotionally electric experience.  Those that are missing out on the one-night cinema experience don’t have to wait long though with the release of Skeleton Tree on September 9th 2016 and hopefully, a general release of One More Time With Feeling planned for the future.
