The critically acclaimed dystopian series Cleverman is back for a second season. With a new season trailer and details of its premiere date, Cleverman fans have something to be excited about.
Just last week it was announced that the first two episodes of this highly anticipated series would be premiering at Sydney Film Festival on June 17. While a Sundance TV original series, the show will premiere on ABC TV in Australia on June 29 at 9.30pm.
ICYMI, Cleverman is set in the near future, where creatures from ancient Aboriginal mythology must live and battle for survival in a world that wants to silence and destroy them.
The second season will feature six episodes and is set six months after season one concluded. As you probably expected, the new season continues the story of Koen West and his brother, Waaru, as they lead the superhuman ‘hairypeople’ in their struggle against the oppressive containment authority.
Season one of Cleverman was nominated for five Logie Awards this year and a Peabody Award.
