Despite Netflix announcing that the show will no longer continue, Sense8 is putting fans at ease with a two-hour finale to officially conclude the series.
Netflix made the announcement by posting a one-and-a-half minute video of the characters as they sang along to the 4 Non Blondes’ song ‘What’s Up’. “It’s happening. Two-hour finale episode. Tell your cluster” were the words displayed on the screen that confirmed the development of a series finale. The release date for the two-part finale is yet to be released.
The announcement comes after Netflix made the decision to cut a number of their original series, some of which FIB reported on in this article. Sense8 had a dedicated following, many of which took to social media to vocally disapprove of Netflix’s decision to can the show. Do we think this played into the decision to give the show a proper sendoff? You bet.
Some other shows which will not be continuing on Netflix include Sophia Amoruso’s Girlboss and The Get Down. Some how we doubt these shows will be getting the same treatment.
