The premiere dates for the upcoming seasons of Curb Your Enthusiasm and BoJack Horseman have been released, and we’re popping pants tents over here at FIB – just in time to fill the Game of Thrones-sized void we’ll be experiencing this spring.
The announcement for the release date of Season 9 of Curb Your Enthusiasm was accompanied by a pretty, pretty, pretty good trailer – placing Larry David in a peculiar Caesar-esque context…
Apart from the premiere date, there isn’t a hell of a lot we can surmise of the upcoming season. David’s accompanying tagline, ‘He left. He did nothing. He returned.’ is pretty damn vague in terms of what we can expect from the new season, particularly after such a lengthy hiatus – Larry, do you even have a life? Alas, if anyone can make a show about nothing it’s this guy.
We’ve only been waiting since 2016 for fresh BoJack Horseman episodes but after inhaling Season 3 in a day-long binge upon its release, Will Arnett (voice of BoJack) may as well have taken a leaf out of Larry David’s book. And with each season out-shadowing the rest in terms of the dark downward-spiral of washed-up horse actor BoJack, it’s surprising that we’re as excited for the new season as Mr. Peanutbutter is about… well, anything.
The brains behind Bojack’s Twitter account – let’s face it, it’s probably Todd Chavez handling his socials – tweeted a glimpse of the Season 4 release date.

Season 3 closed with a characteristic Bojack existential crisis, so it will be interesting to see whether the anthropomorphic equine has gone full brumby or redressed in narcissistic celebrity.
Season 9 of Curb Your Enthusiasm will be released on the 1st of October on HBO. For those Aussies wondering how to *ahem* legally gets their eyeballs on Curb Your Enthusiasm, the episodes will premiere on Foxtel the same day as in the US. Season 4 of Bojack Horseman premieres on Netflix, on the the 8th of September.
