Formed by brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher in Manchester, England, Oasis was a moody rock band that embraced rock star excess and combined their flair for psychedelic pop with the legacy of classic rock bands. Consistently dogged by press attention for their bravado, drug use and antics on and off the stage, Oasis managed to build a catalogue of hits anyway, selling millions of albums.
