The Delta Riggs are back in the studio to work on another album and hot damn it’s a f*&king rock & roll record, according to lead singer Elliot.
In 2016, The Delta Riggs released an incredible thirteen track album titled ‘Active Galactic’, a very well received compilation that took their diverse style of rock to a new level. ‘Surgery Of Love’ and ‘Never Seen This Before’ both received plenty of air time, and a number of their other hits carry the same disco-laden rock feel.
The only indication of what the new album will sound lies in the caption of the Instagram picture above, and considering their diverse discography I can’t quite put my finger on what they’re going to release. Personally, I’m hoping for an adaptation of their more recent groovy sound, rather than their punk rock roots. Either, way, The Riggs are The Riggs and I’m sure it’ll be entertaining either way.
In the meantime, how about we revisit the toe-tapping cover of Glass Animals’ ‘Gooey’ they performed for triple j’s Like A Version…
