Part two of Boy George’s Australian DJ Tour starts on Friday 21st June in Melbourne and Saturday 29th June in Sydney.
Besides announcing the first national Australian DJ tour, Boy George shared that MGM will be producing a film about his life. The film will document his early beginnings in an Irish working-class family to his years of success on the top of international charts. He was part of the 80s band Culture Club, with which, the artist has sold more than 100 million singles and over 50 million albums.
“There is no filmmaker better suited than Sacha Gervasi to tell George’s confessional story with the irreverence and emotion it deserves,” said Jonathan Glickman, MGM’s Motion Picture Group President.
Besides his musical achievements, Boy George has written two autobiographies, which became best sellers, and was the co-producer, songwriter and onstage star of the award-winning musical Taboo on Broadway and London.
Boy George is one of the most recognised House Music DJ’S of all time, performing in more than 70 countries and headlining super-brands, such as Godskitchen.
Along with Radio 1 veteran Pete Tong, the Grammy-winning artist launched Ministry of Sound’s flagship compilation brand, which has gone to sell over 1 million copies worldwide.
