It’s DAY 8 and my journey has me at the esteemed Reform Club in Mayfair London. Where ‘Around the World in 80 Days’ begins, to retrace the footsteps of Phileas Fogg, Jules Verne’s most popular hero for my new adventure travel TV series ’80 DAYS
And as well as the book, Around the World in 80 Days has been made into countless numbers of films and television series’.
The 1956 film version won 5 Oscars including Best Picture. The film starred David Niven, Cantinflas, Shirley MacLaine, Robert Newton, and an All-Star Cast of cameo actors.
Verne’s protaganist Phileas Fogg attempts to win a bet by doing the seemingly impossible. Of travelling around the world in just 80 days. Enlisting the transportation advances of the “Steam age”.
And it just like for Fogg it all starts for me at the famous Reform Club in Mayfair.

A thirst some poetically inclined termed ‘Wanderlust’.
In my grand narrative of no less than 80 episodes, the world unfolds as a tapestry of cultures and wonders, we are reminded that the true wealth of life is not in the jingle of coins or the accolades of society. It is in the bonds we forge, the love that we kindle amidst the whirlwind of our pursuits.
