The ‘Material Girl’ singer isn’t too pleased with the announcement that her early life is going to be turned into a feature film.
It was revealed earlier this week that Universal Pictures obtained the rights to the Madonna biopic Blonde Ambition. Elyse Hollander’s script was the No.1 screenplay on 2016’s The Black List. The film will be produced by RatPac Entertainment, Michael De Luca Productions and Bellvue Productions.
Following the news, Madonna took to social media to express her views to her fans on the upcoming unauthorised project.
“Nobody knows what I know and what I have seen. Only I can tell my story,” Madonna wrote as a caption on her Instagram post. “Anyone else who tries is a charlatan and a fool. Looking for instant gratification without doing the work. This is a disease in our society.” Ouch.
The film – named after her 1990 tour, ‘Blonde Ambition’, will follow Madonna in the 1980s and her efforts to break into the music scene and the struggles she faced while trying to get her first album produced.
