Peter Townshend is an English singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, best known for being the lead guitarist and main songwriter for The Who. His career spans over fifty years with The Who becoming one of the most influential bands of the twentieth century. Townshend is noted for his aggressive playing style and innovative songwriting techniques.
