Look At Me Now, Swan! Adam Sandler Hits Back At Dud Career With Potentially Decent Movie ‘The Meyerowitz Stories’

Pretty much every Adam Sandler movie over the last ten to fifteen years has been a bomb. Seriously, we challenge you to name at least one decent role in which he has lent his precarious “talent” (for lack of a better word). Shockingly, Sandler has popped up in a trailer for forthcoming Netflix film The Meyerowitz Stories (New and Selected) and to be honest, it doesn’t look half bad.

Boasting a stellar cast of Dustin Hoffman, Emma Thompson and Ben Stiller (alongside Sandler), the Netflix movie recounts presumably “New an Selected” stories of the Meyerowitz family as the estranged siblings reunite in New York to celebrate their father, an artist.

Directed by Noah Baumbach, the film was played at Cannes to a somewhat good reception. With Sandler piggybacking on the film, we guess that’s a pretty good sign?

The trailer doesn’t explain a hell of a lot in terms of the film’s synopsis, but the Meyerowitz family look to be an amusingly dysfunctional clan… which makes sense. Why else would you collate “New and Collected” stories about a random family?

Nevertheless, be your own judge!

The Meyerowitz Stories (New and Selected) will be available for our viewing pleasure (and inevitable critical Sandler review) on the 13th of October.
