The Sydney Opera House will be hosting and showcasing four free outdoor concerts for music lovers this April.
The COVID-19 pandemic impacted all sectors of the economy. But undoubtedly the hospitality and entertainment industries bore much of the brunt of the destruction.
This April, the harbour front location will be transformed into a live music forecourt and aims to bring back sense of normality back for Sydney Siders. The event is set to span three days, from the 9th-11th of April and will feature stars such as Jack River, Ziggy Ramo and the Sydney Symphony Orchestra. And all three concerts are completely free.

ARIA nominated singer-songwriter Jack Rivers will kick off the forecourt festival on April 9, presenting ‘Visions Of Us’. Saturday’s performances will include acts from Barrabuwari and Indigenous artist Ziggy Ramo. The Barrabuwari act which is under the leadership of Sydney Opera House staff, will include performers Becca Hatch, Milan Ring, BARKAA, Kobie Dee, JK-47 and others.
The musical weekend will finish with a performance from the Sydney Symphony Strings presenting ‘Heartstrings’.
Sydney Opera House are complying with NSW Government COVID-19 guidelines. Those that have been to a COVID-19 hot spot within the last 14 days are advised not to attend.
Sydney Opera House have stated on their website that ” … the safety and well-being of artists and audiences forefront in our planning. Patrons must follow NSW Health guidelines and follow COVID safe practices.”
Meanwhile, The Sydney Opera House will move back to operating at 100% as of March 18 which is exciting and incredible news for the industry.
