Last Night in Soho starring Anya Taylor-Joy and Thomasin Mackenzie has released its final trailer,
Thomasin Mackenzie, Anya Taylor-Joy, and Matt Smith will be playing the main set of characters in Edgar Wright’s (Shaun of the Dead, Baby Driver) newest dramatic-horror Last Night In Soho. Since being first announced in 2019, the movie has built up more anticipation following the release of its star-studded casting,
In an interview with The Wrap, Wright pointed how the film is a wake-up call to those desperate for nostalgia, and how wanting to go back to the “good old days” can be a danger.
“The moral of the story is, even if you could travel back in time, you can’t have the good without the bad, so it’s sort of a cautionary tale for those who are overly nostalgic about the past.”
The film follows Eloise, an aspiring fashion designer with a sixth sense, who finds herself mysteriously transported to 1966 London. In the body of her idol, nightclub singer Sandie, Eloise begins a romantic relationship with Jack but begins to realize that Sandie’s life is not as glamorous as it appears to be. Her actions in the past collide with the present and things fall apart with horrifying consequences.
Initially set for release in September 2021, the release date has been moved to November in Australia. However, the film has already been premiered at the 78th Venice International Film Festival.
