“Woman Life Freedom” By Sevdaliza Is A Voice Of Support For Women In Iran
First up on the drop list: The Iranian-Dutch singer Sevdaliza has just released a new powerful song “Woman Life Freedom”.
Amid the courage of the women’s rights uprising in Tehran, sparked by 22-year-old Amini’s death, women in Iran are taking to the streets to protest for women’s rights. “Woman Life Freedom” is a voice of solidarity for oppressed women around the world and in alignment with these protests.
This song has become a powerful cry for the country’s protesters and will be forever regarded as the strength that keeps the protesters going. As Sevdaliza adds, “I stand proud as an Iranian woman and I am supporting the fight of my sisters who shed their blood, hair, hearts and brains to give us all the hope that one day, we will be free.”

The Teaser For Adult-Animated Series “Velma” Has Arrived
Next on the drop list: HBO Max has done it again with their new Scooby-Doo spin-off ‘Velma’. The teaser trailer has just been released, and the voice cast is star-studded.
Mindy Kaling is voicing the main character Velma Dinkley, who has been re-imagined as Indian. Sam Richardson is Shaggy, the amazing Constance Wu is Daphne and Glen Howerton is Fred. While Scooby-Doo himself will unfortunately not be making an appearance, this new spin-off will be filled with adult jokes and fun-filled plotlines. Just make sure you put the kids to bed first!

GCDS Has A Baby Alien Just For You
Baby WIRDO is perhaps the cutest alien in the world, both physical and virtual! The Italian fashion label GCDS is moving up in the world by joining Web3 and launching its first NFT program.
GCDS, known for their focus on culture wear, have released these adorable baby WIRDO aliens as a limited edition product. These babies grant you access to exclusive services and member benefits (such as members-only events and priority raffle sales!) in the form of a non-fungible token. Inspired by GCDS’ whimsical Spring/Summer 2023 collection, there are 4,888 aliens up for grabs and each one is unique in colour and style.
The Baby WIRDO is available on GCDS website from October 7.
Prada’s Viral Tank Top Is Now Available
In Prada’s Fall/Winter 2022 show, the Prada Tank Top was unveiled in all its glory. As part of the opening look for the 2022, it walks down the runway on the iconic Kaia Gerber. And now, the Prada Tank Top is officially available to purchase!
A simple design, this high-fashion staple is white with a scoop neck and features Prada’s signature triangular label in the centre of the chest. It was one of the trending hits of 2022 and definitely on par with the viral Miu Miu mini skirt- and probably more wearable as well. Prada has released the tank top on their website in a menswear form, and it would make a great closet staple for anyone that enjoys the elegance and expense of the Prada label.

Negroni Sbagliato? With Prosecco?
Our final drop list submission for the week: Of course, we’ve all seen and heard Emma D’Arcy’s sensual explanation of her go-to drink.
In a promotional video called “Get To Know Me” with House of Dragons co-star Olivia Cooke, D’Arcy explains her favourite cocktail with two simple phrases- “a Negroni Sbagliato… with Prosecco in it”. Olivia Cooke’s quick response “Stunning” is all the world need to hear. Then, the video takes off into the trending stratosphere.
It doesn’t matter whether it was D’Arcy’s alluring voice or the deft response from Cooke, the video has got everyone ordering the drink on a night out. How do you make it? Here’s a great recipe from Serious Eats:
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 ounces sweet vermouth
- 1 1/2 ounces Campari
- 1 1/2 ounces Prosecco or other sparkling wine
Directions
- Served up: Add vermouth and Campari to a mixing glass filled with ice. Stir to combine and chill. Strain into Champagne flute. Top with prosecco and stir again.
- Served on the rocks: Fill an old-fashioned glass with ice. Add vermouth and Campari and stir. Top with Prosecco and stir again. Garnish with an orange slice.
My advice? A Sbagliato is best for a long afternoon basking in the sun. Think- Italian coast on a summer’s day. Don’t forget to say ‘stunning’ as you drink it!
