A new trailer has been released for the anticipated new romantic drama Me Before You. Adapted from the critically acclaimed and best selling novel of the same name by Jojo Moyes, the film stars Game Of Thrones Emilia Clarke and The Hunger Games Sam Claflin. Uniting the two in the unlikely love story you didn’t realise you were waiting for.
The story follows Louisa “Lou” Clark (Clarke), a somewhat directionless young woman who floats from one job to another in order to help support her family. She ventures into the role of caregiver/companion for successful young banker Will Traynor (Claflin) who became wheelchair bound after an accident and opposites attract as the now cynical Will and free spirited Lou find themselves embarking on a series of adventures in order to remind Will that life is worth living. The biggest surprise coming to both in the shape of feelings for the other.
The latest trailer features an introduction from Clarke and Claflin, describing the film as a “Beautifully heartbreaking love-story.” The pair discuss their love for the story, film making process and high regard for their ever fantastic British co-stars (Jenna Coleman, Matthew Lewis, Janet McTeer, Charles Dance, Brendan Coyle and Joanna Lumley) as well as Australia’s very own Steve Peacocke.
The Ed Sheeran fuelled trailer will most likely bring a tear to your eye, with the film set to be an emotional roller coaster. Combing beautiful people, spectacular scenery and whirlwind romance.
‘Me Before You’ will be released across Australia on June 23rd 2016. Get your tissues ready and start writing your condolence letters to Nicholas Sparks because it looks like The Notebook now has some serious competition.
