After having nothing more than a teaser to go on for months, Marvel has finally released the first official trailer for the highly anticipated Black Panther.
There’s a lot to look forward to in this film, especially in terms of the almost-exclusively black cast. The fact that we’re getting Danai Gurira and Lupita Nyong’o on the same screen is a blessing in itself. On top of that, we have Chadwick Boseman, Michael B. Jordan, Daniel Kaluuya and Angela Bassett to look forward to.
This film follows on from Marvel predecessor, Captain America: Civil War, in which Black Panther makes his first appearance. In Black Panther, King T’Challa (Boseman) returns to his home of Wakanda (which looks something out of Star Wars) to find that his enemies are conspiring to take him down. With the help of the Dora Milaje, which is basically their Secret Service, T’Challa tries to prevent a war.
It seems that the main theme of the film will be T’Challa deciding what kind of king he should be for his people. He’s also set to appear in the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War, so there’s no doubt his story will continue.
The trailer has action and spaceships and everyone’s very attractive, so overall it seems pretty good.
Black Panther will hit cinemas on February 16, 2018. Let us know what you think of the trailer below!
