COCO DE MER – HISTORY OF LINGERIE

FIB takes a look at luxury lingerie brand Coco De Mer as a part of our 6 part original series; History of Lingerie. For the longest of times, women have been looking for ways to support, suppress or accentuate their female body parts. But how did we get from there to sophisticated lingerie brands ruling the eclectic world of lingerie?

Coco de Mer was named after a species of palm tree found in the Seychelles, the seed of which happens to resemble a woman’s derriere. The reputable brand started off as a small shop in London’s Covent Garden in 2001 and is now known for its delicate lingerie made from the finest materials.
