The BAFTA Television Awards has just hit screens, and here are some standout moments.
Taking place on the 6th of June 2021, many of Britain’s stars were in attendance.
Opening the ceremony, singer Olly Alexander gave a jaunty rendition of his upbeat song ‘Starstruck’. The young artist’s choice of clothes reflected his cheery disposition. Comprised of gold reptile print, the musician donned a jacket and pants laced up along the creases.
Other musicians at the event were equally as impressive in attire. Alexis Ffrench appeared in a black suit reminiscent of galvanized steel. Complementing his look, the musician wore a maroon undershirt bearing a similar print-pattern to his jacket. The artist performed a soothing rendition of his composition ‘Bluebird’ as part of the ‘In-Memoriam’.
Red Carpet
Paul Mescal took a more classic approach to his attire. The actor looked dashing in a dark tuxedo, white undershirt and bowtie. Paul Mescal is best known for his role as Connell Waldron in 2020 drama series Normal People. At the BAFTA Television awards, the role won him the Best Actor accolade.
Jodie Comer appeared on the red carpet in a chic midnight blue sleeveless jumpsuit. The Killing Eve actress was one of the nominees selected for the Best Actress category. The award went to Michaela Cole for her role as Arabella Essiedu in drama series I May Destroy You.
Additionally, Aimee Lou Wood achieved the award for Best Female Comedy Performance in her Role as Aimee Gibbs. Meanwhile long running show Casualty won Best Soap and Continuing Drama.
On the red carpet, Jessica Plummer’s outfit resembled rolling waves on a moonlit sea. The shimmering silver dress gave the actress and singer an ethereal appearance.
