Perhaps one of the most illustrious designers the world has ever seen, Tom Ford has several titles to his name, from film director to designer, and has won countless prestigious awards. He has designed everything from clothing, handbags, eyewear and beauty products, and his latest product launch has style enthusiasts everywhere reaching for their wallets.
The Tom Ford brand has recently launched ‘Lips & Boys’ – a lipstick line of 50 shades each named after an influential man in the designer’s life. The convenient clutch-sized cosmetics were launched in time for Black Friday on November 28, but were only available for a mere 4 days. But don’t worry if you missed out – the full collection will be officially available in stores and online from Boxing Day.
Among the 50 men who inspired the glamorous collection is Ford’s nephew, his husband Richard, their son Alexander and Academy Award winner Colin Firth, who starred in Ford’s 2009 film ‘A Single Man’, which he directed and co-wrote.
“I like the idea of lipsticks named after boys. Why commit to one when you can have several?” said the esteemed designer whilst talking about his luxurious new line.
The coveted collection boasts a range of 10 creamy shades with 36 stunning colours that are new to the Tom Ford brand. The shades include plums, nudes, corals, metallics and of course, classic reds.
The super sleek miniature lipsticks are made from fancy ingredients deemed “rare and exotic” in order to achieve a silky smooth application and maximum creaminess. Such ingredients include Brazilian murumuru butter and chamomilla flower oil.
So mark your calendars for December 26 and bring in the New Year with the exclusive Lips & Boys collection to make a bold statement.
