Indiana Jones has joined the long list of remakes and it has been reported that Chris Pratt, the star of Guardians of the Galaxy and also known for his role in Parks and Recreations, is considered to play Dr. Henry “Indiana” Jones, a role previously played by Harrison Ford. Pratt confirmed that he hasn’t been contacted about this but expressed that it would be an “awesome opportunity” and would keep the role in mind until something comes up.

It is unknown who will be in the director’s seat but according to Deadline, Steven Spielberg, the director of all four Indiana Jones films, is interested if Pratt takes on the titled role (Spielberg had also chose the actor for Jurassic World) and if the script is up to his expectations. Spielberg currently has a heavy schedule, working on a film centred on the Cold War and planning to shoot The BFG, based on the Ronald Dahl book, which is set to release in 2016. The Indiana Jones remake is also still in its early stages with no screenwriter or script, so there’s a possibility that Spielberg would return after all and Pratt might be casted.
Time will tell…
