George Clooney will forever be our favourite leading man (in fact he is even the cover star of our Style Icons: Hunks edition), so when we see him starring in something new we can’t resist checking it out.
His campaign for luxury Swiss watch company Omega was a little bit different to most campaigns for one furry reason – he was joined by the adorable Einstein, the Oscar winner’s own rescue Cocker Spaniel cross (who may just have a sparkling future in show business if these photos are anything to go by). The pair both ooze with charisma and charm as they show off Omega’s Seamaster Aqua Terra wristwatch.
The Hollywood hunk takes a backseat in these shoots, with Einstein up front and centre and even covering Clooney’s face as he peers into a camera lens held by his master. But of course the real camera was held by photographer Sam Jones, who has beautifully captured more of Hollywood’s finest, from Ben Affleck, Mila Kunis, Bradley Cooper and Emma Watson.
With that enchanting sense of humour of his, Clooney has jokingly admitted that his gorgeous canine is the true star of the Spring campaign. “Einstein has been studying acting for many years now, as you can imagine. I think he’s concerned that I am in his shot and he thinks that perhaps you can airbrush me out if it. That’s his hope.”
We definitely hope the future brings us much more of Einstein, possibly with a big screen debut! But for now, you can watch George Clooney talk about rescuing the adorable pup here.
