It seems the Iron Throne or being a warrior isn’t enough for Gwendoline Christie (who plays Brienne of Tarth in Game of Thrones). The actress took to the runway for Vivienne Westwood’s Autumn/Winter 2015 Season during Paris Fashion Week last Saturday and she was unrecognised by guests.

Amidst the models uplifting the unisex theme of the show – male actors wore dresses as well, Christie showcased two outfits: a loose-fitting short black dress and printed leggings, and a grey suit accompanied with a tall hat and black overcoat. Her appearance on the runway might have shocked us but she’s no stranger to the fashion industry as she had a career in modelling in the past. It’s good to see her revisiting it – modelling was something that helped her to “come terms with [her] body” and challenge stereotypes regarding femininity. Something that echoes with her Game of Thrones role. Hopefully this time modelling isn’t a one-off thing for Christie. She has attended several fashion shows previously and always with an elegant sense of style.
