It’s a bird, it’s a plane… nope it’s the pilot episode of the upcoming TV series Supergirl. The episode leaked six months before its premiere, and reportedly without any watermarks. Hmm… the 46-minute episode appeared on torrent sites in two versions; one in HD and the other in a lower resolution. We suspect that that “leak” is perhaps a marketing ploy by Supergirl’s programmer CBS/Warner Bros. No statement has been made from either of them yet, but we’re onto them…
It isn’t surprising since the first sneak peek (which is about six minutes, revealing a little too much) at the series generated so many viewers and it won’t air until November. Supergirl stars Melissa Benoist, a Glee alumni in the titled role, and Calista Flockhart (Ally McBeal) as her boss. With a Devil Wears Prada tone, Supergirl will focus on Clark Kent’s Kryptonian cousin Kara Zor-El who balances her normal/superhero lives while keeping her powers and alien origins secret.
And of course her alter-ego…
It’s unknown if Clark Kent/Superman will make an appearance, but hey – up, up and away for Supergirl.
