The Mockingjay Soars Higher

The rebellion heats up and the power of the tyrant no longer sways the people. Promoting the last Hunger Games installment, a new poster has been revealed, depicting a decapitated and crumbling statue of President Snow (Donald Sutherland) with the Mockingjay, the symbol of the rebellion and heroine Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence), glaring behind him…

This is a new entry to a series of posters that would lead up to Mockingjay Part 2’s release on November 20. Previously we had a portrait of Katniss and her beloved sister Prim. The new poster has been compared to last year’s Capitol and propagandist one. Instead of the “United for You” tagline, the new poster says “Unite Revolution” – which is also a hashtag to encourage fans and passersby to join the rebellion.

Additionally, Katniss and the rebels have hacked into the Capitol’s Twitter account, changing the bio to “This page now belongs to the Revolution and will henceforth serve to disseminate all official announcements from those that align with the Mockingjay. #Unite”. They’re also letting people know that they’ve set up a website Revolution PN, which welcomes visitors with the line “dawn is approaching. A new day is on the horizon. Be part of the next generation of Panem. Enlist today.”

The rebellion needs YOU.
