Not one to let the term model confine her to one profession, English born rose Rosie Huntington-Whiteley participates in a wide variety of projects. At the age of 15 she entered the modelling world not initially as a model, but as an intern on a work experience project for Profile, a big modelling agency in London.

After completing her schooling, Huntington-Whiteley went back to modelling and put her full focus on it over her other aspirations. With her gorgeous dark blonde locks, enchanting blue gaze and perfectly plump lips, she took the world by storm – and they never knew what even hit them. Even though her pretty face may have made it easy for her to gain ground in the modelling world, she was determined to work hard.

At 16 she landed her first official modelling gig with the brand giant, Levi’s Jeans, and then in 2004, during a trip to New York, she ended up landing her big break with Teen Vogue. After the Vogue shoot, she went on to debut on the catwalk with supermodel powerhouse Naomi Campbell by her side.

In the midst of tearing up the modelling scene, Huntington-Whiteley caught the eye of prominent photographer Bruce Weber and thus started working with the iconic brand, Abercrombie & Fitch, which really kicked off the young beauty’s career.

Although names that she had previously worked with wouldn’t necessarily be considered as small brands, the supermodel-cum-actress is perhaps most well known for her work as a Victoria’s Secret Angel. Working for Victoria’s Secret is considered to be top-tier gig in the industry, so her Angel status was career-defining.

Initially starting off as just a model for Victoria’s Secret in 2006, she gained the prestigious Angel status three years later when she was just 22 years old. While only few have the looks and talent to work for Victoria’s Secret outside of their prestigious annual runway event, even fewer can say that they have reached Angel status. The privilege means that they are the current standout face for the brand, and of course due to her astounding beauty and talent it’s no surprise the giant brand favoured Huntington-Whiteley through a sea of beauties.

Shortly after, she was awarded Model of the Year at the 2009 Elle Style Awards, and this was only a single accolade in a string of them that pushed Huntington-Whiteley to break new ground.

Although working for the global giant Victoria’s Secret might be the dream final destination for millions, it’s wasn’t the final stop for the star, and she continued to dazzle us with her bombshell good looks and work with other leading names such as Burrberry, Prada, and the UK high-end all rounder, Marks & Spencer to name a few.

Huntington-Whiteley has been a fresh face for a wide variety of products, ranging from Godiva Chocolates to Burberry’s beauty line, as well as many incredible fashion lines. Huntington-Whiteley will always be a model in the public eye, but she has also put the profession of actress under her belt as well.

The stunner replaced Megan Fox as the female lead in Transformers: Dark of the Moon (2011) which was the third film in the franchise and for which she was nominated and won two awards for: the CinemaCon Award for Female Star of Tomorrow and the Spike Guys’ Choice Award – Our New Girlfriend. More recently, Huntington-Whiteley landed the role of Splendid in the film Mad Max: Fury Road scheduled to come out late 2015.

Huntington-Whiteley, like many other ‘It Girls’ of this series has a well-established presence online with her social media accounts: with her followers currently sitting in the millions, and growing every minute. In 2010 she collaborated with vogue.com to share her outfit choices daily for the ‘Today I’m Wearing’ feature, a featured considered ahead of the curve at the time. Huntington-Whiteley was arguably one of the first supermodels to jump on board this phenomenon, putting the control back into her hands instead of the tabloids.

Her relationship with action-star Jason Statham has been going strong for five years and has been notably private, with the pair dating since 2010 and rarely speaking about one another to the press. When asked by Self, what was different about her relationship with the well-established action star, she replied:

“Everything. We’re best mates, he makes me laugh every day… I almost feel like I never had a proper boyfriend before.”

Because of her stunning looks and smart business woman strategies, Huntington-Whiteley will not drop off the map anytime soon, and if anything we will likely see her branching off into different career paths more and more in the future. She has shown the world that it is possible to not only balance a variety of careers, but do it flawlessly, with a fierce walk, pout and attitude.
