Cristiano Ronaldo has just released un-touched photographs, modeling his fourth underwear line under his brand CR7. He has defied the purpose of Photoshop and shown us that perfection can occur naturally. With controversy always surrounding the benefits of photo shop, Cristiano proves that not everyone needs a ‘fake’ portfolio.
The new range is suppose to be based on the previous ‘trunk’ style of underwear, but has been re-vamped to coincide with the latest trends of the season. Cristiano explains that comfort is also a huge factor in the design of the garments, “The trunk is a style that I’ve worn throughout the year, and for me is the most comfortable style in the range, so I wanted to make sure that it is available in a variety of different design options- something for every man”.
Cristiano’s decision to shoot the line in the ‘nude’ may have started a more natural revolution within the Fashion World. If he can look amazing without any adjustments, then others are going to have to compete with that. The idea, we think is great, and if we can move into a more realistic perception of the body, by no adjustment to the natural state, then it will create clear benefits within the industry and with social perception.
Cristiano is clearly a gorgeous man and worshiped football player, earning the title of highest paid football player in the world, with a salary of 49 million and endorsements sitting at 26.8 million, according to ‘The Wrap”. The Portugal player is recognised as the sexiest man in football and the hottest Dad that ever existed. Although, to no surprise due to the influx of beautiful ladies he would receive, he was rumoured to have cheated on his girlfriend with another model earlier this year.
Cristiano is not new to modeling and has modelled for big names: Armani Jeans, Jacob and Co Watches and also graced the cover of Vogue with former girlfriend and mother of his child, Irina Shayk. The couple was often the focus of tabloids and media stories, usually based on their genetically blessed and successful family.
We think that the extremely clever idea for Cristiano to launch this new line “un-touched” will launch the campaign within traditional media and social media, setting him up for a huge success. Of course, males follow the soccer player more closely then women (maybe not with his pictures…) and more ‘hard-core’ fans will be sure to buy his trunks in every colour, which may add some value to his estimated 310 million dollar net worth?
