The Fifth Wave is the most recent addition in young adult novel turned film franchise. With no more Harry Potter or Twilight, and Hunger Games coming to an end in November, Hollywood is in desperate need of something to take their place.
The Fifth Wave, based on a novel by Rick Yancey, has put its hand up to be the next big thing. The film stars Chloë Grace Moretz as teen Cassie who is searching for her younger brother after “the others” have decimated planet Earth over four waves of destruction. The film flaunts some well-known names like Liev Schreiber, Nick Robinson, and Maggie Siff.
It looks like a Stephen King novel mixed with a disaster film, so it will either be great or awful, we can only wait and see on January 15th, 2016.
