Cathriona White, former partner of Jim Carrey was found unresponsive by a friend at a Los Angeles home on Monday and new details are emerging regarding the circumstances of her passing.
White, 30, and Carrey, 53, dated in 2012 before splitting but were seen together in May this year, perhaps attempting reconciliation. According to the chief assistant coroner Ed Winter, pills were found next to White’s body, as well as a suicide note.
While an autopsy is still to be done and the cause of death is pending, the note is said to reference Carrey, or even be addressed to him. The exact contents of the note are still unknown to the public.
White was a naturally beautiful make-up artist. Her last contact with the outside world appeared to be a tweet on the 24th September in which she stated:
Signing off Twitter, I hope I have been a light to my nearest and dearest.
to yo all.
Meanwhile, Carrey has stated through his publicist that he is shocked by her death.
“She was a truly kind and delicate Irish flower, too sensitive for this soil, to whom loving and being loved was all that sparkled. We have all been hit with a lightning bolt.”
There is absolutely no suspicion of foul play and the death of such a young, beautiful and successful woman has come as shock to everyone.
