Ellery Denim Line Maintains Her Signature Style

Kym Ellery’s namesake Australian label has launched its first five-piece denim collection at her Autumn/Winter 2016 show in Paris. The brand has translated her iconic style through to her denim range and promises to turn heads for all the right reasons.

Ellery’s signature ‘super-flared trousers’ and ‘exaggerated bell sleeves’ made waves through fast-fashion retailers, including Zara, ASOS and Loeil. As one of Australia’s most cult labels, it was difficult to image what they would deliver next, and the fans do not seem disappointed.

Naturally, the brand wanted to move to a more casual style. Kym Ellery tells Harper’s BAZAAR, “Denim is such an important part of any wardrobe; we wanted to introduce the denim as an elevated but still casual part of the collection.”

The line will keep in tune with the distinctive Ellery ‘look’, with structured silhouettes and crisp detailing. She has translated her signature style into a classic high-waist, a boyfriend fit and multiple flared pieces. The goal was to reinterpret Ellery shapes into elevated denim pieces, which would define the collection.

Price ranges from $690 to $890, and you will definitely want one of these when the collection becomes available.

After shoes and denim, we can’t wait to see what comes next from this fan-loved brand. Ellery has hinted towards leather goods, although only time will tell.
