Hype for the new Lego Batman Movie is strong. Within a week of the release of the first teaser, the studios went ahead and unloaded a second, ‘Wayne Manor’.
The new trailer features dramatic running, Batman break dancing, homages to the previous films and a really huge fireplace (I know they’re Lego’s but imagine if that fire in the background was to scale). Lego Batman himself opens the trailer with an entertaining monologue where he breaks the fourth wall with the swagger customary of all superheroes.
The Lego Batman Movie directed by Chris McKay is set for release in Australian cinemas on the 30th of March, 2017. The film will feature the voice of Will Arnett who reprises his role from The Lego Movie (2014). Alongside him will include Rosario Dawson as Batgirl/Barbara Gordon, Michael Cera as Robin/Dick Grayson, Ralph Fiennes as Alfred Pennyworth and Zach Galifianakis as the Joker.
